Role Overview

Provide quality instruction and site-based program coordination aligned to state and federal requirements associated with Career & Technical Education in the career field of Work-based Learning. Courses in this program are: 99201 Career Readiness Seminar, 99203 Career Planning & Development, 99205 Career Experience/Internship, 99204 International Baccalaureate Personal and Professional Skills.

What You Will Do

Teach Work-Based Learning courses, develop and deliver curriculum, utilize diagnostic, formative, and summative assessment strategies, create safe and engaging learning environments, assess students' developmental needs, and provide appropriate supports and interventions.

Preferred MDE/PELSB teaching licenses for each Work-based Learning program of study: 160000 Teacher/Coordinator Work-based Learning, 000745 Teacher/Coordinator Work Experience Disadvantaged, or 000750 Teacher/Coordinator Work Experience Handicapped.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university OR equivalent knowledge gained through related industry experience
  • Prior successful experience student teaching or teaching in an urban, multicultural education setting
  • Prior successful experience interpreting and implementing Minnesota Administrative Rule 8710.4825
  • Demonstrated continued professional development through coursework, research, peer collaboration and/or job-embedded staff development
  • Valid Tier 2, 3, or 4 teaching license for grades 9-12
  • Valid Minnesota endorsement of Teacher/Coordinator Work-based Learning or proof of pending approved licensure
