Job Description
The Lang Medical Scholars Program at Katz School of Medicine at Temple University is a six-year educational initiative that transforms a student’s early interest in science into a vision for a career in healthcare. Through hands-on learning and collaboration with healthcare professionals, students from 7th through 12th grade explore each system of the human body, learning how healthy systems function, how disease develops, and how prevention and treatment shape individual, public and global health.

Requirements

  • Three years of relevant experience; can include internships, student leadership roles, volunteer work, or positions as a teacher, camp counselor or other instructor
  • Experience working with elementary, middle or high school students (formal or informal; tutoring, mentoring, camp, or classroom support)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
