Job Description
The Field Supervisor is responsible for coordinating daily field operations related to vehicle processing, vessel activity, staffing, and workflow management. This role ensures efficient vehicle movement, timely processing, safe work practices, and high-quality service while supporting operational goals and customer requirements.

Requirements

  • Communicate with management, customer service teams, and port representatives
  • Plan and schedule staffing levels based on projected workload
  • Assign and communicate daily work responsibilities to drivers and shipping coordinators
  • Adjust assignments and staffing as operational priorities change
  • Oversee vehicle off-loading operations
  • Verify vehicle counts and ensure manifests and related documentation are complete and accurate
  • Train and orient new hires and temporary employees
  • Provide ongoing coaching, guidance, and technical support to team members
  • Monitor employee performance and provide feedback, coaching, and corrective action as needed
  • Participate in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring activities
  • Attend and participate in management and operational meetings
  • Maintain inventory and order operational supplies
  • Promote workplace safety and support accident prevention initiatives
  • Perform other duties as assigned
