Role Overview

The Team Lead, Structures & Pricing will lead valuation and pricing of renewable, energy storage, and hybrid transactions, and drive the development of advanced commercial analytics. The role will partner closely with Origination, Trading, Risk Management, and other commercial teams to lead transaction valuation efforts and ensure alignment with AES Clean Energy’s market views and risk frameworks.

The main responsibilities of the role include transaction valuation and structuring, modeling, analytics, and platform development, risk, systems, and process integration, team leadership and development, and business and strategic contribution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Economics, Finance, or a related quantitative field
  • 5–8 years of relevant experience in energy, renewables, power markets, or related analytical roles
  • Significant experience (3-4 years) with renewable asset revenue modeling, including structured transactions, basis dynamics, and operational considerations
  • Strong expertise in U.S. power markets and market fundamentals (PJM, CAISO, ERCOT preferred)
  • Advanced quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with ability to independently lead complex analyses
  • Proficiency in at least one programming or analytical language (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB, VBA), with experience developing production-grade models
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to present complex analytical concepts to senior stakeholders
