Job Description
Team Manager Nursing Home oversees patient care services, staff supervision and management, quality improvement and regulatory compliance, customer service, sales, and marketing, and cost containment. The role is responsible for directing all patient care services, managing team schedules, and coordinating services 24/7. The Team Manager also supervises staff, evaluates documentation, and provides in-services on Vitas values and practices.

Requirements

  • Two years of successful supervisory experience in a healthcare organization
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Current and valid RN License to practice in the state where the VITAS program is located
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of primary medical and nursing care, with at least a working knowledge of oncologic nursing and palliative care
  • Basic understanding of the interpersonal dynamics operative within the working relationships of an interdisciplinary health care team, and knowledge of the process of dying and bereavement
