Role OverviewThe Technical Consultant will be a client-side resource to help execute project tasks, testing and validation, and timely completion of project milestones for a successful go-live. This position combines technical ability and HR, Benefits, and Payroll knowledge to implement clients onto their new HCM platform and/or optimize their existing platform using best practices and standardized processes.
What You Will Do
Serve on implementation project as a client-side resource for technical configurations, integrations, testing and validation tasks. Manage day-to-day project tasks for a client's successful payroll transition. Configure workflows to optimize system buildout.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Priority given to candidates who also have experience with Paycor. Expert knowledge of the Paylocity platform is required. Experience and knowledge related to troubleshooting inbound/outbound integration files, data transformation and data mapping is extremely beneficial.
Requirements
- 3-5 years' experience in a high-volume, client-facing, implementation role with vendor or consulting organization
- Expert knowledge on multiple modules within the Paylocity including Implementation of systems, custom reporting functionality, and payroll processing knowledge
- At least 3 years' experience in a client-facing, implementation role
- Prior experience owning and leading a project
- Experienced in Time & Attendance system configuration, understanding of labor allocation requirements, integration with various time capture systems to payrolls
- High School Diploma required - Bachelor's degree preferred, preferably in a computer-related field
- Experience with integrations between third-party systems – such as API, EDI, or batch processing of flat files
- Ability to utilize QA processes that capture before and after outcomes and satisfy governance and audit requirements
- Ability to create specific test scripts based upon individual client needs that will ensure 100% validation of all client data and technical configurations during the course of a project
- Understanding of PII data and governance requirements and ability to maintain confidentiality related to sensitive company and employee information
- Cultivate and grow understanding of the impact of HR-related situations such as new hires, life events, terminations and open enrollments to assist Benefits with ensuring adherence to all regulatory, carrier and client guidelines
- Ability to partner with Benefits team to complete the plan build, testing and successful launch of open enrollment and ongoing maintenance of eligibility within a client's HRIS/online enrollment platform
- Understand and execute the process for building, testing and deploying EDI file feeds between the client's insurance carriers and HRIS system, to include: plan rule setup, extracting employee data, troubleshooting eligibility during the testing phase and regular upkeep of files once the feeds are active (troubleshooting discrepancies)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to listen and effectively verbalize ideas
- Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects while completing deadlines in an organized manner; demonstrated organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication, interpersonal and client relationship skills and ability to remain calm in stressful situations such as customer escalations
- Familiarity, or ability to rapidly learn, teach, and instruct on various HRIS software platforms
- Proficiency in MS Office suite of products (MS Word, Excel and Power Point) is essential.
