Role OverviewThe Technical Designer I will partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate product fit, develop and maintain technical specifications, and drive continuous improvements throughout the product development process. This is a temporary assignment expected to last 4-6 months and requires onsite presence at our Freeport, Maine headquarters two days per week.
What You Will Do
Evaluate samples for fit, construction, and quality against established standards. Conduct detailed garment measurements and ensure consistency within specification guidelines. Lead fit sessions and provide technical recommendations to improve product fit and performance.

Requirements
- 2-year associates degree
- 3+ years of relevant experience
- Strong knowledge of apparel or accessory garment construction, terminology and fit
- Strong knowledge of pattern making/draping and grading
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent computer skills including 3D (CLO), Adobe Illustrator and PDM (Product Data Management)
- Strong analytical skills
- Solid technical drawing skills
- Good understanding of the L.L.Bean customer
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
- Ability to lift/carry 20lbs. on a regular basis
