Role OverviewDesign, develop, and maintain mainframe batch and online applications, develop and enhance COBOL programs, build and support CICS transaction processing applications, and create and maintain JCL jobs for batch processing.
What You Will Do
Perform production support, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis, ensure compliance with audit, regulatory, and change management processes, and collaborate with business, QA, and operations teams in an Agile environment.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Strong experience in COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, and VSAM datasets, with a solid understanding of Mainframe architecture and z/OS utilities, and 5-8 years of experience in Mainframe.
Requirements
- Strong experience in COBOL (Batch & Online development)
- Hands-on with CICS (transaction processing)
- Expertise in JCL (Job Control Language) – job scheduling, debugging, performance tuning
- Solid knowledge of DB2 – z/OS Application Programming and SQL
- Experience with VSAM datasets and file handling
- Strong understanding of Mainframe architecture and z/OS utilities
