Role Overview

The Technical Project Manager will serve as the District Environmental Quality Coordinator and Traffic Control specialist, providing district-wide leadership and technical expertise for environmental compliance and traffic control practices. This position will work closely with Area Engineers, inspectors, and contractors to ensure regulatory compliance, work zone safety, and consistent application of TxDOT standards across all construction projects.

What You Will Do

The Technical Project Manager will lead and/or coordinate oversight of multiple technical projects, conduct project reviews and inspections, consult with Project Engineers and contractors, and create documentation procedures to capture changes in the original project plan.

This position requires a strong understanding of industry guidelines, specifications, and codes, as well as project management best practices and process improvement methodologies. The ideal candidate will have 5 years of construction project management experience and a Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline
  • 5 years construction project management experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP), Six Sigma Black Belt, or one or more change management disciplines (may be required)
