Job Description
The Technical Specialist for Closures establishes the long-term technical vision for closure systems and drives the tactical execution of that strategy across global product programs.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of automotive industry experience
  • 8+ years of Closures experience with at least 5 years specific experience in Front End Sheetmetal
  • Expert in Steel and Aluminum closures construction and integration
  • Demonstrated knowledge in materials, kinematics, formability and structural design for closures including tooling and processing
  • Strong understanding of the performance and regulatory requirements for closures
  • Experience working with Design Studio, Integrators, Architects, Dimensional and Quality to produce excellent exterior designs and solutions
  • Demonstrated global leadership ability through experience working with other regions on a global program or initiatives
  • Fluent in use of vis-mockup and Team center
  • Knowledgeable in Composite and Carbon Fiber construction
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to motivate others
  • Cross-functional communication skills of complex issues to enable world class designs, packaging efficiency and vehicle integration, within and across SMTs
  • Demonstrated ability of 'dealing with ambiguity' to enable timely decision making
  • Ability to manage a multitude of assignments with high levels of composure and effective implementation
  • Ability to use Unigraphics/NX
