Role OverviewThis role performs a variety of technical radiologic procedures using standard, portable and/or specialized x-ray equipment to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patients' illnesses and injuries.
What You Will Do
The technologist will prepare patients for exams, position and instruct patients, and operate imaging equipment according to specific diagnostic procedures. They will also evaluate images to ensure they contain proper identification and are of diagnostic quality.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have RTR licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, ARRT certification in Radiology, and BLS certification. They will also have experience in radiologic procedures and excellent communication skills.
Requirements
- RTR licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- ARRT certification in Radiology within 12 months from date of hire
- BLS certification
- Some specialty modalities may require additional formal training and certification
