Role OverviewThe Technology Designer will collaborate with internal and external teams to design, specify, and layout lighting control systems and automated shading solutions. This role will help create more intelligent, responsive, and beautifully lit environments.
What You Will Do
Produce accurate, efficient, and creative system layouts and documentation for lighting, lighting control and motorized shading solutions. Execute technology design plans within Visual Comfort standards, ensuring consistency and quality across both system designs and client-facing deliverables.
Why It Might Be a Fit
This role requires a keen eye for design and creativity, knowledge of residential construction processes, and a good understanding of construction documents. Experience in interior design, custom home building products, luxury home furnishings, and/or lighting industry is a plus.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in lighting design, architecture, or related discipline
- 3+ years of project-based residential, lighting control, fixture, or design/drafting experience
- Lutron or AVIXA and/or CEDIA certifications a plus
- Proficient computer and drafting skills utilizing AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Acrobat, and Excel
