Job Description
Bloomberg's Legal & Compliance Department is seeking a Technology Licensing and Commercial Transactions Counsel to join our in-house legal department. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing, drafting, and negotiating complex commercial agreements, advising clients on commercial legal matters, and partnering with cross-functional teams to support commercial and technology-related transactions and intellectual property-related issues.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Licensed to practice law in New York and in good standing
  • 5+ years' experience as an attorney negotiating and drafting software licenses, technology-related services and media-related agreements, and other types of commercial contracts
  • Efficiently manage a large volume and variety of general matters, negotiate numerous standard and complex corporate and commercial agreements
  • Ability and desire to contribute in a collaborative fashion, with an emphasis on team values, goals and objectives
  • Ability and desire to communicate effectively with engineers, software developers, product development, R&D and other teams
  • Superior writing, analytical and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills
