Role OverviewWe are seeking a Telecommunications Technician to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO in support of the North American Aerospace Defense Command. The successful candidate will provide support to monitor, install, and perform maintenance of associated networks, and end user equipment/peripherals. The role requires 24/7 maintenance support, complete modification, and installation of network, cryptographic equipment (i.e., KIV-7M/KG-175), and instruments.
What You Will Do
Responsibilities include providing support to users, performing on-the-spot diagnostic evaluations, implementing corrections, and training users in proper equipment/network operations. The successful candidate will also provide network/end user item initial and recurring training for all users, update networks/equipment, and ensure inventory is accurate.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have a current DoD IAT Level II Certification (e.g. CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP) and be a U.S. Citizen. Experience with cryptographic/communications security and COMSEC Responsible Officer requirements is also preferred.
Requirements
- 1, or more, years of full-time work experience
- 6 months, or more, of directly related experience
- Current DoD IAT Level II Certification (e.g. CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP)
- U.S. Citizenship
- Ability to maintain a U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) security clearance at the required level
