Telematics Installer

We're hiring a Telematics Installer at our rental facility in Richmond, VA, to install and repair our telematics system and devices. The role involves installing and removing ignition systems, working through various installation scenarios, and identifying and resolving problems. The Telematics Installer will travel to client sites and EquipmentShare rental yards for installation cases. The position requires a hard worker with excellent attention to detail, good mechanical aptitude, and the ability to operate machinery.

What You Will Do

Install our telematics system and devices on vehicles, construction equipment, heavy equipment, and customer assets. Identify and resolve problems, gather and analyze information, and develop alternative solutions if required. Travel to client sites or various EquipmentShare rental yards through the region for installation cases.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (Trade School Certificate preferred)
• Mechanical aptitude, good with your hands and with tools
• Hard-working, eager to learn and mechanically inclined
• Experience in a related field, e.g., electrician, HVAC tech, car audio installer, etc
• Own tools; a few specialty tools will be provided
• Clean driving record and be able to pass a background check
• Must be open to traveling within a 250 mile radius of our local branch for up to a week at a time
• Must be able to drive, maneuver in tight spaces, bend, squat, walk long distances and lift more than 25 lb
• Telematics Installers may be required to be clean shaven in order to enter worksites for EquipmentShare customers who have this requirement
