Role OverviewThis role is with the Department of Aviation at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport, supporting the airport's expansion and development program. Under close supervision, the agent coordinates and performs work in administrative and operational management of airport facilities, ensuring a safe and secure environment for the traveling public, employees, and the community.
What You Will Do
Inspect facilities and ensure safe operating conditions, investigate problem areas, and respond to emergencies. Answer emergency and non-emergency phone calls, operate multi-channel radio and paging systems, and coordinate the opening and closing of the airport. Manage curbside vehicle or pedestrian crosswalk traffic as assigned.

Candidates should have an associate degree in a related field or two years of relevant experience, plus a valid Texas Class C Driver License. The role requires flexibility to work any shift within a 24-hour period, including weekends and holidays, and overtime may be required. The salary range is $23.76 - $27.32 per hour.
Requirements
- Graduation with an associate degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Business or Public Administration, Aviation Management, or in a field related to the job
- Two (2) years of experience in the U.S. Military Services, airport operations, or in another field related to the job
- Any combination of education and work experience may substitute for the above minimum
- Valid Texas Class C Driver License
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check, and obtain and maintain federally-mandated security clearances required to work at an airport
