Role OverviewUPS is seeking a reliable Temporary Journeyman Technician to join their fleet maintenance team in Palm Springs, California. The technician will maintain a diverse range of equipment, including delivery vehicles and heavy-duty on-road tractors and trailers.
What You Will Do
Troubleshoot and maintain various systems, including hydraulic brakes, air brakes, electrical, and engine control. Operate standard and manual transmission, power and pneumatic tools.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Must be willing to work 2nd or 3rd shifts, including Monday through Friday, Sunday through Thursday, and Tuesday through Saturday schedules. Dependable with ability to report to work on a regular and timely basis.
Requirements
- Current documented automotive mechanical experience
- Experience using diagnostic equipment, scan tools, and personal computer
- Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) - Preferred
- Ability to work varying shifts, additional hours, and/or overtime depending on service needs
