Role OverviewThe Temporary K-8 Music Teacher will be responsible for the instruction, progress, and discipline of all pupils in assigned classes, under the supervision of the school principal. The role involves instructional planning, implementing methods, and maintaining accurate records of pupils' achievements. The teacher will also participate in programs to improve student attendance, promote anti-vandalism programs, and establish reasonable rules of conduct within the classroom and on school grounds.
What You Will Do
The main day-to-day responsibilities of the Temporary K-8 Music Teacher include providing written lesson plans, preparing instructional materials, and evaluating pupils' progress. The teacher will also communicate with parents or guardians and counsel pupils on their academic progress, attendance, and conduct.

Requirements
- Successful completion of all student teaching requirements
- Illinois State Board of Education teaching certificate(s)
- Professional Educator License (PEL) or Educator License with Stipulations (ELS)
- Knowledge of subject matter consistent with state certification requirements
- Knowledge of contemporary principles and practices of teaching
- Knowledge of classroom and behavior management techniques
