Role OverviewAs a vital member of the school's educational leadership team, the school counselor provides comprehensive, developmental supports to ensure students' success. The school counselor is a uniquely trained professional educator with a mental health perspective who understands and responds to the challenges presented by today's diverse student population.
What You Will Do
The school counselor will create, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive school counseling program aligned with the Chicago Public Schools (CPS) REACH Framework for School Counselors. They will conduct annual needs assessments and data reviews, implement the school counseling core curriculum, provide individual student planning activities, provide responsive services, provide indirect student support, and provide system support.

Requirements
- Master's degree in school counseling
- current ISBE Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Counseling Endorsement
