Role OverviewThe Temporary Teacher will be responsible for the instruction, progress, and discipline of all pupils in assigned classes, under the supervision of the school principal. The role involves instructional planning, implementing methods, and maintaining accurate records of pupils' achievements. The teacher will participate in programs to improve student attendance, promote anti-vandalism programs, and establish reasonable rules of conduct within the classroom and on school grounds.
What You Will Do
The main day-to-day responsibilities of the Temporary Teacher include providing written lesson plans, preparing instructional materials, evaluating pupils' progress, and maintaining accurate attendance records. The teacher will also participate in in-service meetings, professional staff meetings, and use pertinent information and materials provided.

Requirements
- Successful completion of all student teaching requirements
- All course work required to obtain the appropriate teaching certificate(s) issued by the Illinois State Board of Education
- Valid teaching licenses issued by the Illinois State Board of Education: Professional Educator License (PEL) or Educator License with Stipulations (ELS)
