Test Engineer

As a Test Engineer at Wipro Limited, you will be responsible for designing and implementing automation frameworks, including Playwright, for end-to-end testing across web applications. You will work on integrating AI-driven test generation, self-healing locators, and AI-based debugging and predictive test coverage. The role requires strong skills in TypeScript/JavaScript for Playwright automation, experience with AI/ML libraries or APIs, and expertise in designing test strategies for distributed systems and microservices.

What You Will Do

Your main day-to-day responsibilities will include designing scalable and maintainable test frameworks integrated into CI/CD pipelines, integrating AI/ML libraries or APIs into test workflows, and testing REST/GraphQL API and mocking strategies. You will also be responsible for monitoring dashboards and reporting frameworks, and ensuring the reliability, maintainability, and scalability of test suites.

Requirements

• Advanced proficiency in Playwright for end-to-end testing across web applications

• Hands-on experience with AI-driven test generation (e.g., natural language → Playwright scripts)
• Knowledge of self-healing locators powered by AI to reduce flaky tests
• Familiarity with AI-based debugging and predictive test coverage
• Exposure to AI-assisted visual validation (image-based testing, accessibility checks)
• Strong skills in TypeScript/JavaScript for Playwright automation
• Ability to integrate AI/ML libraries or APIs into test workflows
• Solid understanding of REST/GraphQL API testing and mocking strategies

• Experience with test data management, including AI-generated synthetic datasets
