Job Description
Quanex is looking for a Test Technician to join our team in Rice Lake, WI. The Test Technician will apply engineering principles to support product design, development, and manufacturing operations, review and verify drawings, specifications, and technical documentation, and perform material testing and product inspections.

Requirements

  • Two-year Associate Degree in quality assurance-related science and/or two years' experience as a QA Technician
  • Proficient with measurement and test equipment (hand tools, gages, optical/electronic instruments, and inspection systems)
  • Strong knowledge of quality principles, including audits, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and apply statistical quality control methods (e.g., control charts)
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office and Minitab, with strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • Detail-oriented problem solver with experience in production environments; safety training (Lockout/Tagout) and forklift certification a plus
