Role Overview

TGA of Southern Westchester is looking for enthusiastic, reliable coaches to join our growing after-school enrichment team. We provide structured golf, tennis, and pickleball programs for children ages 5–15 at schools and community facilities throughout Southern Westchester and Fairfield County. Our mission goes beyond teaching sports. We want to help children build confidence, teamwork, sportsmanship, and a lifelong love of being active.

What You Will Do

Lead or support after-school programs for children ages 5–15, teach fundamental skills through fun, age-appropriate drills, games, and activities, keep children engaged, active, and excited to participate, create a safe, positive, and inclusive environment, encourage confidence, teamwork, and sportsmanship, build relationships with students and help them make meaningful progress, communicate professionally with parents, school staff, and TGA leadership.

Why It Might Be a Fit

We're looking for people who love sports and love working with kids. You should have a solid understanding of the fundamentals of at least one of the following: golf, tennis, or pickleball. You don't need to be a professional player or elite-level athlete, but you should be comfortable demonstrating basic skills, explaining them to children, and helping a beginner develop confidence.

Requirements

  • 18+ required for Lead Coach positions
  • Solid understanding of the fundamentals of at least one: golf, tennis, or pickleball
  • Passion for sports and working with children
  • Energetic, positive, and reliable
  • Strong communication skills
  • Comfortable managing and engaging a group of children
  • Reliable transportation to program locations
  • Able to successfully complete a background check
  • Previous coaching, teaching, camp, mentoring, or youth-program experience is a plus
