Job Description
The THC - Educator/Interpreter (Education Specialist I) position performs moderately complex consultative services and technical assistance work for the Varner-Hogg Plantation State Historic Site. The role involves planning, developing, and implementing educational programs and events to promote the site's history and encourage stakeholder participation.
Requirements
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in history, African American history, public history, museum studies, or a closely related field
Minimum one-year work experience in at least two of the following areas: cultural resource interpretation, researching and implementing public interpretive programs, or researching and writing for publication
Valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and ability to drive a state vehicle
