Job Description
The Office Manager will perform complex administrative support work for the First Capitol of Texas State Historic Site of the Texas Historical Commission. The position involves overseeing administrative/business operations, managing the site's volunteer program, coordinating purchases and procurement, and overseeing the point-of-sale system operations.

Requirements

  • Serve as the face of the visitor center
  • Coordinate the purchase and procurement process
  • Maintain accounting records and monitor inventory
  • Reconcile daily receipts and generate reports
  • Participate in volunteer recruitment and training
  • Maintain work areas and office equipment
  • Perform light cleaning and respond to internal inquiries
  • Oversee revenue collection and deposit
  • Coordinate expenditures and respond to customer service inquiries
  • Assist with developing public relations and marketing materials
  • Compile data for reports and assist with budget requests
  • Rentals, including scheduling, payment processing, and creating rental programs
