Role OverviewThe Therapeutic Activity Worker provides escort service, direct care, and program assistant to developmentally disabled individuals. Work is performed under the direction of the Program Instructors in respective areas of assignment and the Program Director.
What You Will Do
Implements individual goal plans, assists in organizing and conducting special events, assists residents with activities of daily living, provides guidance in social and recreational activities, and escorts residents to and from scheduled program classes.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will possess good verbal and written communication skills, a High School diploma, and related work experience. Such training as may have been gained through working with developmentally disabled individuals is desired.
