Role OverviewThe Therapist I provides complete patient assessments, plans for therapeutic interventions, and implements treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed therapist. The role requires knowledge and skills to provide services appropriate to the age and cultural diversity of the patients served.
What You Will Do
The Therapist I will work under the supervision required by their specific license and/or state board requirements, upholding and demonstrating the UVA Mission, Vision, and Values.

Requirements
- Graduate Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field
- 1 year of experience (including internships or pre-doctorate residencies) preferred
- Licensure: Supervisee in Social Work, Resident in Counseling or Psychology Resident
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 3 months of hire required
- BLS within 3 months of hire required
- Good working knowledge of computers
- Ability to care for behavioral health and substance used disorder age-specific populations
