Job Description
Thermal - Fluids Analyst I / II responsible for building and running thermal-fluids models of components and subsystems to ensure designs meet thermal, mechanical, operational, and performance requirements. Role involves collaboration with designers and engineers, technical mentorship, and development of internal tools and calculators. Position located in Torrance, CA, within a 322,000 square foot facility with large open spaces for team collaboration, R&D, and production.

Requirements

  • Assess subcomponent designs for pressure drop, heat transfer capabilities, and other performance characteristics
  • Collaborate with designers and responsible engineers to provide guidance on initial sizing, material selection, and design feedback
  • Compile detailed documentation of analytical results and communicate key results to stakeholders
  • Provide support to test engineers in test design, instrumentation selection, and data review
  • Develop internal tools and calculators to enable other engineers to perform analytical assessments
  • Provide technical mentorship and guidance to other engineers and across teams
