Job Description
The Thrift Store Cashier/Sorter is responsible for handling cash, making change, operating cash register and charge card machines while maintaining accuracy. They also assist in receiving and sorting donations, pricing inventory, and restocking merchandise. The position requires excellent customer service skills, knowledge of inventory control and retail sales, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency
  • Some knowledge of inventory control, retail sales, and loss prevention
  • Ability to operate cash register, credit card machines and handle monetary transactions
  • Skill in maintaining excellent customer service by giving prompt and courteous assistance to customers
  • Current Alaska identification with acceptable criminal history record
