Job Description
The Investigator I - Hearing Specialist will perform the role of staff representative in conducting Level I and II Hearings, gathering and presenting evidence, and determining the most appropriate consequences for youth in the juvenile justice system. The incumbent will also serve as a hearing manager, impartially reviewing and assessing evidence, and determining the credibility of witnesses. The role requires a bachelor's degree in a related field and 2 years of full-time experience in investigation, case management, or social work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with major coursework in criminal justice, social work, behavioral science, education, business, public administration, or a related field
  • Two (2) years of full-time wage-earning experience in investigation, case management, or social work
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
  • Ability to work in excess of 40 hours per week, travel, and be on-call
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data, policies, and procedures
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
