Job Description
The Texas Juvenile Justice Department is seeking an Assistant Principal to assist the Principal with the administration and management of a state school for youth who have been adjudicated delinquent of felony offenses. The successful candidate will promote improvement of instruction, foster a positive school climate, manage education personnel, and perform related duties.

Requirements

  • Master's degree with major course work in Education, Education Administration, or a related field.
  • Three years (3) of full-time wage-earning experience as a teacher at the secondary level, 6-12 or one (1) year of full-time wage-earning experience that may be any combination of the following: an assistant principal or principal at the secondary level; a secondary level or district administrator; or a superintendent of education.
  • Valid Texas Mid-Management Administrator, Administrator, Principal, or Superintendent certification.
