Role Overview

Build, repair, and service Stamping and/or Die Cast molds. Work with senior Toolmakers on various assigned projects. Perform assignments involving model making, gage making, and machine building. Keep abreast of all the latest developments and advances made within the trade.

What You Will Do

Build and/or Service/Repair dies, tools, and molds, keeping cost in line with requirements. Repair, maintain, and modify any dies, molds, fixtures, machines, tools, and tooling for production departments. Set up and operate conventional or computer numerically controlled machine tools.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalency
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks on a daily basis
  • Able to lift up to 33 lbs
  • Good mechanical ability
  • Knowledge of metric system, shop trigonometry, and geometry
  • Able to select most tooling materials
  • Capable of operating all Tool Room machinery
  • Ability to interact with other departments at a design level
  • Able to adequately perform all functions of a Tool and Die Maker 'C' (minimum six years Tool and Die environment)
  • Safety & Quality conscious
  • Basic P.C. Knowledge in order to either input or gain business or technical data ie; CAD/CAM / MRP / Microsoft Office softwares.
