Job Description
The Administration for Children’s Services (ACS) protects and promotes the safety and well-being of children and families through child welfare and juvenile justice services and community supports. The Tour Commanders will be responsible for performing various duties, including supervising and evaluating the work performed by Associate Youth Development Specialists, implementing behavior management incentive programs, and coordinating the delivery of services to youth in detention facilities.

Requirements

  • A four year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State’s department of education or a recognized accrediting organization
  • Three years of full-time satisfactory experience working directly with juveniles or young adults (ages 10-24) in a group, community, educational, or institutional setting or program performing recreational, juvenile detention, vocational, mentoring, or anti-violence work
