Job Description
The TPWD is seeking a Fish and Wildlife Technician I to utilize habitat management and restoration techniques to manage and restore high valued vegetation communities and habitats on Texas State Parks. The position requires a valid State driver's license and a National Wildland Fire Coordinating Group (NWCG) Firefighter, Type II (FFT2) certification. The technician will assist with prescribed fire operations, collect geospatial data, and perform manual labor such as grounds, facility and trail maintenance.

Requirements

  • Graduation from High School or GED
  • No experience required
  • Valid State driver's license
  • NWCG Firefighter, Type II (FFT2) certification within 45 days of employment
