Job Description
Under the direction of the Preservation Services Team Lead, this position performs routine to complex consultative services and technical assistance work. Responsible for the professional application of the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties, The National Historic Preservation Act, and the Antiquities Code of Texas at all State Parks Division properties.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in architecture, historic preservation, architectural history, construction science, or an equivalent field.
  • One year of experience in the assessment, maintenance, or repair of historic-aged properties.
  • Knowledge of historic building repair methods, American architectural history, especially Texas architecture, vernacular architecture and construction methods, especially in Texas, and historic preservation principles.
