Job Description
This is a seasonal fish and wildlife technician position that will start in September. The position involves routine fish and wildlife conservation work, including habitat management, infrastructure maintenance, equipment maintenance, grounds keeping, public use, and research at the Chaparral Wildlife Management Area. The position is located in Cotulla, Texas, and on-site lodging is provided.

Requirements

  • Graduation from High School or GED
  • One season of experience with TPWD Wildlife Division (Tier 2)
  • Two seasons of experience with TPWD Wildlife Division (Tier 3)
  • Valid State driver’s license
  • Ability to work from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and on holidays, weekends, and hours other than 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Ability to perform manual labor, including lifting supplies and materials up to 50 lbs.
