Role OverviewPerforms physical labor using hand tools and equipment to construct, alter, repair, maintain, and demolish railroad tracks, associated structures, and components. Works as a member of a local Line Maintenance crew.
What You Will Do
Carry and place track materials, attach rail to ties, remove spikes, lift and handle railroad crossties, connect and disconnect rail, move and clean ballast, raise tracks and turnouts, and drill holes.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 75 pounds, willing and able to travel to various job sites, and capable of working in inclement weather and/or conditions.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 18 years of age or older
