Role OverviewThe Recovery from Addictions Program (RAP) is seeking a Trades Worker to assist with various tasks in a variety of trades, including plumbing, electrical, painting, locksmith, and carpentry. The successful candidate will work independently and with journeymen to complete construction and repair projects. The position requires a trade school diploma or certificate, or a minimum of two years' experience working in construction.
What You Will Do
The Trades Worker will perform routine trade-related maintenance and repair, maintain machinery and equipment, and assist with transportation of personnel and patients. They will also install glass, floor covering, and curtain fixtures, and make mortar, concrete, and plaster mixes.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of simple construction and repair procedures, and the ability to perform manual labor, including heavy lifting. Bilingual or multilingual fluency is a plus.
Requirements
- Trade school diploma or certificate in one of the trades, or a minimum of two years' experience working in construction

- Ability to climb and work from ladders, staging's, and scaffolding at some distance from the ground
- Ability to make common mortar, plaster, and concrete mixes when necessary
- Valid Massachusetts Motor Vehicle Operators License (Class D) or equivalent
