Job Description
Peak Utility Infrastructure is seeking a Traffic Control Plan Drafter to create and design traffic control plans for various projects, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards. The role involves drafting traffic control layouts, incorporating agency standards, and preparing drawings for permitting submittals.

Requirements

  • Drafting and designing traffic control plans for roadway, construction, and special event projects.
  • Preparing traffic control plans in accordance with MUTCD guidelines for streets and highways.
  • Creating clear and accurate drawings for lane closures, work zones, and pedestrian management.
  • Collaborating with project managers, clients, and field crews to ensure safe and efficient layouts.
  • Reviewing plans to ensure compliance with local jurisdiction requirements.
  • Maintaining organized project files and revisions.
  • Assisting with planning layouts for traffic control equipment and barricade placement.
  • Review permit request information, construction plans, and scopes of work to determine appropriate traffic control requirements.
  • Prepare site-specific traffic control plans for a variety of projects, including overhead and underground utility construction.
  • Apply applicable standards, agency requirements, and MUTCD guidelines in the development of traffic control plans.
  • Coordinate with field crews, construction supervisors, and project teams to develop practical and effective traffic control solutions.
  • Revise traffic control plans in response to agency comments and field conditions.
  • Support permitting efforts by providing traffic control exhibits and responding to agency review comments.
  • Maintain organized and accurate electronic drawing files and documentation.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
