Role OverviewHDR is seeking a licensed Traffic Engineer to work as part of a traffic team on a variety of traffic forecasting, analysis, and planning needs for transportation projects. The role involves working with large data sets, performing field visits, and writing reports. The Traffic Engineer will analyze and optimize traffic systems, conduct safety studies, and prepare reports.
What You Will Do
Primary duties include working with traffic modeling tools, analyzing traffic safety studies, and preparing reports. The Traffic Engineer will also work with large data sets, perform field visits, and write reports.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have a PE license, a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, and at least 4 years of experience. They will also have experience with traffic analysis and design, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and strong verbal and written skills.

- Experience with traffic analysis and traffic engineering/design
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Detailed hands on experience conducting traffic design using CAD platforms
- Detailed hands on experience conducting operational analysis using various analysis and modeling tools
- Detailed hands on experience conducting safety analysis using various safety software tools
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word
- Strong verbal and written skills
