Role OverviewAECOM is seeking a Traffic Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 to join our team in Middleton, Wisconsin. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated student to gain hands-on experience related to traffic engineering, transportation planning, and infrastructure design.
What You Will Do
Analyze traffic data and roadway characteristics using computer software tools under the supervision of an experienced engineer. Conduct fieldwork such as traffic counts and site visits. Prepare technical reports, presentations, maps, websites, or other documentation to support findings and decision-making.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and must have completed at least one year of study. Recent graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor’s degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship.
