Role OverviewTxDOT is looking for a Traffic Systems Tech I or II in our Yoakum District. The role involves working outside, helping to make Texas roadways safer, and assisting in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting traffic systems. The position requires a valid driver's license and a Commercial Class "A" Driver's License with an "N" Endorsement.
What You Will Do
The Traffic Systems Technician I or II will perform entry-level work activities related to the installation, repair, and maintenance of traffic systems, communication, illumination, and data collection devices/systems. The role may involve extensive statewide travel and contact with governmental and private entities.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, with no experience required for Traffic System Tech I and 1 year of experience in construction, electronic troubleshooting, electrical construction/installation, electromechanical, traffic management, transportation engineering, design, traffic systems maintenance for Traffic System Tech II.
