Role OverviewWe're seeking a DOT HM-183 certified mechanic with tank trailer repair experience to join our team at Depot Connect International. As a Trailer Mechanic, you'll work in a fast-paced environment, diagnosing failures and making repairs on mechanical, electrical, or other systems on a tank trailer. You'll also be responsible for tank service and repair, trailer suspension installation and repair, and experience with air brake systems and repairs.
What You Will Do
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include inspecting tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards (HM-183, hazmat), performing repairs on mechanical, electrical, or other systems on a tank trailer, and working in confined spaces. You'll also be required to lift and move heavy objects, up to 50 pounds regularly and 75 pounds occasionally.

Requirements
- DOT HM-183 certification
- tank trailer repair experience
- ability to diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical, or other systems on a tank trailer
- tank service and repair experience
- trailer suspension installation and repair experience
- experience with air brake systems and repairs
- TIG aluminum, stainless, or carbon welding experience (optional)
- ability to effectively and efficiently inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards (HM-183, hazmat)
