Role OverviewWe are currently searching for a DOT inspection certified mechanic with experience working on trailers, tanks or chassis for our N. Charleston, South Carolina location. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and be able to fit through a tank trailer manhole.
What You Will Do
Diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical or other various systems on a tank trailer, inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards (HM183, hazmat), and perform tank service and repair, trailer suspension installation and repair, and air brake system repairs.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The successful candidate will have demonstrated skill in most of the following areas: tank service and repair, trailer suspension installation and repair, experience with air brake systems and repairs, and TIG aluminum, stainless or carbon welding experience (optional).
