Role OverviewJoin CPKC as a Train Conductor, a foundational role in the railway, where you'll assist in switching rail cars, making or splitting up trains, and moving rail cars. This position requires vigilance about safety and flexibility with unscheduled shift work.
What You Will Do
As a Conductor, you'll perform physically demanding work, including walking up to 6 miles a day, lifting and pulling heavy objects, and working outdoors in all types of weather. You'll also be responsible for coordinating train movements, observing and interpreting signals, and providing flag protection.

Requirements
- Must be able to perform work that can be physically demanding
- Willingness to work unscheduled shift work in a 24/7 operating environment
- Working up to 12 hour shifts
- Ability to report to work within a two hour call window
- Excellent focus, attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Strong communication skills
- Willingness to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions
- Must be able to pass the required physical job tasks
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or general equivalency
- Valid driver's license
