Role OverviewJoin CPKC as a Train Conductor, a foundational role in the railway, where you'll work as a member of a train crew, assisting in switching rail cars, making or splitting up trains in rail yards, or moving rail cars between rail yards. This position requires vigilance about safety and working outdoors in all types of weather.
What You Will Do
As a Conductor, you'll perform physically demanding work, including walking up to 6 miles a day, climbing, lifting, and pulling heavy objects, and working unscheduled shifts in a 24/7 environment. You'll also be responsible for reporting to work within a two-hour call window, providing clear and concise instructions, and maintaining a thorough understanding of safety instructions and operating rules.
