Role OverviewJoin Lehigh Valley Health Network, a nationally recognized health network, as a Trained Medical Interpreter. Provide foreign language interpreting services to enable understanding and successful communication between individuals with limited English proficiency and staff.
What You Will Do
Provide accurate interpretation between L.E.P. patients and hospital personnel, educate individuals and staff on culturally specific values, and act as a conduit of information for all clinical services.

Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- 1 year Experience in human or health services
- Ability to adhere to interpreter standards of practice and code of ethics
- Ability to continuously perform the same type of work for extended periods of time
- Ability to interpret and translate on a daily basis in possibly stressful situations
- Exhibit excellent listening skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology and/or specialized vocabulary
- Understanding of the subject matter to effectively convert source language to target language
