Role OverviewThe Trainee Skilled Construction Laborer will develop all skills required to perform as a member of the labor crew under the direct supervision of the Laborer Foreman. The role involves working with labor crew and Laborer Foreman in reading roadway plans and drawings, using and caring for hand and power tools, and performing tasks related to Erosion and Sediment Control, Maintenance and Protection of Traffic, and other labor tasks.
What You Will Do
The Trainee Skilled Construction Laborer will receive instruction on plan reading and standard drawings, observe and assist the foreman and labor crew, and review procedures for various tasks such as maintenance and protection of traffic, asphalt patching and compacting, and labor tasks for road grading.

- Good health or ability to pass a pre-job physical
- No prior experience as a journeyman
