Job Description
Join Genesee & Wyoming Inc. as a Trainmaster and play a key leadership role in guiding employees across the assigned territory. You'll oversee operational and administrative aspects, ensure safety and efficiency, and build a strong team.

Requirements

  • Manage the safety performance, operating practices, and financial productivity of the operation
  • Interface with customers and interchange partners
  • Communicate and coordinate with peer managers
  • Directly supervise train crew employees
  • Manage schedules and payroll
  • Conduct and document efficiency/operational tests
  • Respond to and investigate accidents/incidents
  • Partner with the General Manager and Human Resources on hiring and employee relations
  • Coach and train employees in operating practices
  • Assist with other projects and perform other duties as assigned
