Job Description
HDR is seeking a highly motivated Transit Project Manager to support HDR's Transit Market Sector. This position will provide project management and technical services to Transit agency clients. The ideal candidate will have broad experience working with Transit public agencies, strong management skills, and the ability to work with different facets of rail and public agency staff and capital projects.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering
7 years related experience
A minimum 2 years project management experience
Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.
MS Office and MS Project experience is required (Access experience would be plus)
Demonstrated leadership skills

Minimum 10 years of experience within the Transit/rail engineering industry and managing multidisciplinary railway projects and teams in office and field environments.
Construction inspection or construction management experience.
Knowledge of FTA and transit project engineering requirements.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Ability to manage large Transit Program/projects.
Ability to handle multiple assignments.
Ability to travel for client meetings, site visits, field assessments, and construction management, as required.
Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office software (i.e., Word, Excel, Project), engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, MicroStation, OpenRoads/OpenRail), estimating and scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P3 or SureTrak), and project management software (e.g., Prolog).
Able to pass a background check
Legally able to work in the United States and have a valid U.S. Driver’s License.
